In the Research Group, we build new materials using techniques such as thermal evaporation, CVD, PCVD, sol-gel methods, and sputtering DC deposited on different types of glasses. We will design a material based on the optical constants we find and optimize the thickness using different software to increase the transmission or reduce the reflection. New materials find diverse optoelectronic applications in the engineering field.  

Students will learn unique and industry-relevant laboratory techniques and procedures and will be able to move on to exciting opportunities in Material Science.
